After twenty-five years in academia across three universities—as Professor of Art History, Associate Provost, Dean, and Provost and Senior Vice President — I joined AGB Search in 2023 as an Executive Search Consultant to help colleges and universities identify exceptional leaders who can advance their missions. Now, in my capacity as an ICF-trained Executive Coach I bring lived experience to coaching higher education leaders navigating their own leadership transitions and transformations.

My academic career began as a Professor of Art History at Oakland University (MI), where I received tenure. I taught at Oakland for a total of 18 years with focus on the long nineteenth century and early twentieth century European and American art. At Oakland I served as a senior leader in the roles of Associate Provost and Acting Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. In 2015 I became Dean of the School of Liberal Arts at Mercy University (NY) and in 2019 I served at New Jersey City University (NJ) as Provost and Senior Vice President, where I navigated strategic planning, faculty development, and student success through the dual challenges of COVID-19 and institutional financial crisis. Throughout nearly twenty years in administrative roles, I championed faculty and staff and academic excellence. At Mercy and NJCU I served Hispanic-Serving institutions and found passion in fostering student success in the context of my own experience as a first-generation college student and daughter of immigrants.

My Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Art History were earned at Indiana University, Bloomington. My leadership development has included the Harvard Management Development program, an ACE Fellowship (2013-14), and various programs with AASCU and AALI.

I earned the Certificate in Executive Coaching at New York University in 2026, an ICF-based (International Coaching Federation) program.
